Event Details

Next Thursday CCI are dedicating an entire online event aimed at highlighting the life changing work of foster care and adoption services throughout Ireland and discover how your church can help.

We’ll meet Jarleth McKee, a Newry native but has lived in Dublin for forty years. He is currently Principal Social Worker of the Dublin North East Regional Fostering Team with Tulsa, with responsibility for recruiting, assessing and training new foster parents for the region.

We’ll also hear from Judith Dawson from Home for Good a UK based organisation who work with churches to provide foster care and adoption opportunities.

Then we’ll hear from current foster parents, our very own Pastor Peter and Mena Lynch from Emmanuel Church, Dundalk and fromĀ Terri Colman-Black. In the early nineties she co-founded ACET a faith based response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic and for over twenty years she has been a foster carer and believes she and her family have been greatly enriched by this experience.

The night will conclude with some Q & A and we’ve no doubt we’ll be inspired, challenged and perhaps nudged by the Lord to take a next step.

This event is online and is open to you, your leadership and pastoral care teams as well as your congregations.
