Where is CCI Academy?

We seek to make your leadership training as convenient as possible. Because of this we currently offer hubs for students to learn in Dublin, Galway, Newbridge (Co. Kildare) and Banbridge (Co. Down). We are also looking into creating a hub in Limerick.

What does this programme look like on a weekly basis?

The Academy is run for one day per week – Thursdays (10:30am-3:30pm) – over two academic years; from September to June each year. Students in our Dublin hub will receive in person teaching that will be livestreamed to the other hubs.

For the 2023/24 academic year, we will use a hybrid model – every month, classes will be 3 weeks on Zoom and one week in-person.

What is expected of me as a student?

Being active in your local church
Local Church Service: This practical module is outworked each term as ACADEMY Students actively participate and invest into the life of their Local Church through service.

All students will receive Mentoring each term focused on a personal & leadership growth goal for the term. These goals help students to maximise the time invested and impact of their Local Church Service.

Attending Course Modules
Our content focuses on Christ centred leadership and teaching in biblical foundations of faith. All classes are taught by experienced local church leaders, currently engaged with changing the landscape of the Church in Ireland. There are four modules taught per term. We estimate that 1½ to 2 hours of study a week is necessary to complete each module successfully. Each module has specific learning outcomes. Modules have different methods of assessment including written assignments, book reviews, exams and/or presentations.

The academic requirements for CCI ordination are met through this course.

CCI Team Placement

All students have the opportunity to experience ministry beyond their local context in our CCI team placement. This mandatory placement allows students to contribute to CCI national conferences and key events throughout the year. Each student will function as a team player, team leader or leader of leaders, widening their experience in preparation for future ministry.

Each term has a CCI TEAM PLACEMENT WEEK:

Term 1: NETWORK
Term 2: CCI Leadership Conference ‘PLANTING HEAVEN’
Term 3: CCI National Conference ‘MVMNT’.
